COLOR DRIVEN

Every dahlia we grow has been selected for its extraordinary color. They are organized by color in the store because that’s how I roll. The collections offered are carefully assembled with color in mind as well.

FLOWER CHILD

Hi y’all, I’m Lee!

I’ve been a farmer florist for a decade now here in the mountainous northwest corner of North Carolina. Over the years, I have supplied florists, done weddings, and made literally thousands of bouquets on demand at our bustling Watauga County Farmers Market in Boone, NC.

I’ve also made and shipped thousands of fresh, high-end seasonal wreaths of my own design from materials I grew or gathered myself.

Although I have been growing dahlias since I started flower farming, the bug truly bit me about five years ago and I have been trialing and selecting the best ever since. Our mountain climate is unique for the Southeast- with much cooler temps and lower humidity than the rest of the region and dahlias love it! It is also an area far enough away from major cities that I grow far more flowers than I could ever dream of selling. That means I get to share all of these fabulous tested tubers with you!

All photos taken at Goldenrod Gardens, usually by me, unless otherwise noted.
