READ FIRST

Please read ALL of the information below before you order. I promise it will make everything go more smoothly from ordering to harvesting your flowers. I wouldn’t put the time into providing all of this unless I thought it was important.

Ordering

COMBINED SHIPPING FOR MULTIPLE ORDERS IS NOT AVAILABLE. EACH ORDER PLACED WILL BE SHIPPED INDIVIDUALLY.

Early shipping: If you are placing an order and want Nov/Dec shipping, you must add that to your cart when you check out and that must be added to EACH ORDER you place. Don’t email me and tell me you were too excited and forgot because I am reminding you now.

-TERMS OF SALE ARE HERE You will be asked to accept terms of sale during checkout, so read them now.

-Select a preferred shipping window if desired and add it to your cart. Orders without a shipping window added will be shipped in a timely manner according to your location.

-If you don’t already know your USDA plant hardiness zone (between 1a- 13b), find it by clicking the link below and entering your zip code: https://planthardiness.ars.usda.gov Every gardener should know this anyway!

-It should go without saying, but Please make sure your email is correct and your shipping address is correct and complete during checkout. I ship via USPS and you can always go to their website and confirm that the shipping address you enter is concurrent with the shipping address they use. This is particularly important if you’ve recently moved or if you live in the middle of nowhere.

-Items in your cart are not guaranteed until the checkout process is complete. Items in your cart may disappear before you finish if they were placed in another customers cart and they check out before you. Don’t go back and try to order the item that disappeared because it it is sold out.

-You will receive an email confirmation once you have placed and paid for your order. If you don’t, you did not complete the order or you entered your email incorrectly. If you are a new customer and don’t see the email, check your junk folder.

-Once an order is placed, it cannot be added to or changed. If a circumstance arises that requires you to cancel your order, please email customer service prior to 2 weeks before expected shipping time.

-Please place a separate order for Lee’s book(s) as they are shipped separately and it messes up my shipping interface when they are purchased in the same order as tubers. Each book is signed and there is an option to personalize it to an individual in checkout. Books are packed wrapped in teal tissue and sealed with a GG sticker so they are ready for giving.

When you are placing your order, go to the 'CHOOSE SHIPPING WINDOW' in the SHOP, and add your preferred window to your cart. If you select an earlier shipping window then is suggested for your growing zone, it is at your own risk. (See Terms of Sale)

-UNPACK AND INSPECT YOUR ORDER UPON RECEIPT- If there are any issues with your order, please contact me immediately- within 5 days of receipt. If you are not ready to plant them upon receipt, store them in a the bags they came in, opened, out of direct sun in 65-70F.

Lee personally inspects and packs every single tuber shipped and works very hard to ensure healthy viable tubers are selected. If you don’t see an eye or if you don’t think the tuber has a neck, be assured, Lee saw an eye and the necks are simply very fat.

So we are on the same page with terminology:

-Eyes are where the vegetative growth will begin to emerge or where they have emerged from. They may be in a weird place, there may be more than one or they may be tiny- all fine.

-Buds swelling from the eye may be green to deep purple, shiny and firm. If a bud pops off during transit or unpacking, they are fine- more grow around it. Wet sap may ooze from the wound and that is fine too- tubers are full of water.

-Shoots are the vegetative growths that a bud will stretch into. If tubers have grown shoots in the bag, that is okay- simply trim it by half before planting.

Tubers wake up at different rates. They may be dormant or show varying degrees of vegetative growth. Dormant tubers can take up to 8 weeks to develop a shoot.
