Dahlia Bracken Rose
Dahlia Bracken Rose
Bracken Rose (2004) is a lovely pink dahlia. It is a perfect complement to Cafe Au Lait and Castle Drive. It also pairs beautifully with just about anything else. 3.5" ball flower on a 4.5' plant. This is an extremely hard to find variety and worth the splurge. I love it, my florists love it and I would keep every single tuber to myself if I didn’t get requests throughout the year for just one.
Bracken Rose produces tubers with predominantly long skinny necks and rounded ends, making them them not only difficult to dig but challenging to wash and divide. It takes twice as long to successfully divide a clump of Bracken Rose as it does other varieties with clumps of equal size. This year, about 200 of the plants were started from cuttings which, although they too produced tubers shaped like a typical BR, they also had dense clumps that were split up. You may receive either form of tuber.
