Dahlia Coralie
Dahlia Coralie
Coralie may be taking a gap year, because even though we dug and divided it, I cannot locate the tubers.
Coralie is an English beauty that I will never be without! Soft pink flowers with a soft glowing center top long dark stems early in the season and don’t stop until they freeze. 3-4’ plant depending on how you cut them.
I had a phenomenal crop of Coralie this year!
I always expect Coralie flowers, like many dahlia flowers, to change their coloration a bit according to variances in the light they receive. The photos, taken by me over the course of 6 years demonstrate that. Fabulous, fabulous flowers!
NOTE: I have been growing Castle Drive since 2016- before they were popularized by Floret and there has been recent debate as to whether or not this is ‘Castle Drive’ or another similar variety called ‘Coralie’. I obtained my original stock from the now closed Banner Flower Farm along with several other of my now tried and true favorites like Sierra Glow, Kenora Lisa, and Peaches-N-Cream. Now that I have grown both, it is clear to me that the dahlia I had assumed was Castle Drive is actually Coralie. For those of you that have purchased Castle Drive from me in the past, please note that it is Coralie.
