My breeding goals are simple: covetable blooms with long stems that last, no sunburn in high summer and the ability to produce tubers that are ample, easy to divide and do well in storage.
Each one passes or surpasses my requirements as good cut flowers and several are also good for the mixed border garden or container garden.
Aside from the goals above they have passed additional tests and requirements that include field performance (good bloom despite extremes of wet and dry), ability to handle temporary cold storage.
